What I've Been Up To:

1. ALL the shopping for baby girl. And this collab between Love Your Melon and Disney is just too precious for words.
2. I'm also starting to ease into the nesting phase of pregnancy and this Freezer Meal Prep Guide is my biggest inspiration for all things baby prep.
3. Also SPEEDING through this fabulous summer read. If you're looking for your beach read, this is it.
4. I baked these shortcakes for Father's Day and my dad is still talking about them. Also, not terribly bad for you as far as these things go!

Can't Miss Reading:

1. This guide is super helpful if you're trying to navigate how to start up your social life again in the wake of the virus but also keeps it lighthearted enough to not be a bummer.
2. Most of us are probably working on diversifying our reading and this list gave me the perfect place to start.

Summer Bucket List:

1. I've been working on putting together a bucket for Ben and my final summer just us and this list from EveryGirl is a perfect jumping off point!
2. Ben and I are working on cutting out too many carbs from our diet but also not having to eat boring meals! I found SO much inspiration from this list of healthy but delicious looking recipes.
3. I love this list of SCREEN FREE hobbies you can take up this summer!
4. I am TRULY obsessed with the site Half Baked Harvest. This round-up of all her favorite things will spark creativity in anyone. So good.

Hope you're all having a fabulous week and get the chance to truly relax! See you next time!

1. What I've Been Up To:

  1. I’m FINALLY back to hosting *small and socially distanced* parties at our house I’m OVERJOYED about it. This cake has made an appearance at three of those get-togethers to RAVE reviews. Also easy peasy.
  2. Baked doughnuts are Ben and my new go-to for slow Saturday morning breakfasts. I’ve shared our healthy blueberry lemon doughnut recipe but if you want something even easier, you have to try these easy strawberry baked doughnuts. This recipe is literally one bowl and no more than 30 minutes start to finish.
  3. Ben up and built us a beautiful new pergola in our backyard last week so we’ve been spending a TON of time back there soaking up the finally beautiful weather. He also planted a bunch of leafy greens last month back there that are just starting to pop up so yesterday we got to pick our own spinach from the garden to make this scrumptious watermelon feta and spinach salad. SO yummy.
  4. Ok. I flew through the Kite Runner in like, four days. I am SHOCKED by how good and devastating and hopeful and awful this book is! I can’t believe I missed it for so long but if you haven’t read it - it absolutely has to be your next book.
  5. But what I’ve really been up to is a LOT of online shopping. I’m not proud of it but I am proud of these dresses because they are gorgeous and a steal and I think you probably need them.
    1. Target - Gauze Mini Dress
    2. Amazon - Summer Sun Dress
    3. Amazon - Boho Midi Dress

2. Essential June Playlists:

  1. If you’re working (or cooking or cleaning or whatever) from home right now this playlist has the perfect chill but focused vibes for your work hours.
  2. I am a very seasonal music listener and in the summer I tend to go for more upbeat and techno music. If that’s your thing too, I think you’ll love this year’s summer playlist full of songs perfect for a barbecue or an afternoon by the pool.
  3. I’m still in mourning about Disney World being closed so this playlist is the perfect bit of cheer when I’m wishing I could be there in person.
  4. I am crazy about this album. This is exactly what I’m looking for in a summer album and it has been on repeat on my drives lately. Gorgeous.

3. Cheer You Up Content:

  1. Ok so this week had some cancelled summer vacations and social distancing is getting OLD so here is some content that might now make you a better a person or challenge you in any way but is basically guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and if you’re anything like me right now, that’s what you really need. Let’s start with this. So pure, I could just cry.
  2. I’m not a dog person and this still melted by heart. Could this be more darling?
  3. I’ve watched this SO. MANY. TIMES. I mean, if this is not impressive, I don’t know what is.
  4. Everything about this pastor stopping in the street to blow some minds with quarantine-based riffing is a joy.
  5. Last one. If you’re a weirdo like me an organizing all the things legitimately brings you joy...here is the article that inspired me to 1. Switch to Click up as my go-to productivity software and 2. Make a spreadsheet to track the inventory of my pantry, fridge, and freezer. Is this VERY extra? Yes. Does it make me happy? Definitely.

That’s it for this week guys! Have an incredible start to your summer and soak up all the happy during these crazy times. Until next time!
