It’s JANUARY! You have to be kidding me. Remember when all the crazy virtual learning thing started in March and we are all sure it would be over in a few weeks? I wouldn’t have believed you if you’d told me we would still be stumbling through hybrid and virtual learning in the New Year but here we are.

I’m determined to approach this year with my chin up. I’m determined to find the good. SO. Let’s look at some winter activities for the music room that are going to bring us some joy in these cold months!

1. Bulletin Board REFRESH!

I recently redid my FOUR bulletin boards after a LONG stretch of procrastination and….it has been SO life giving. I used this set from Ashley Makenzie and made this set myself and I’m literally so happy with how it all is turning out! If you need some joy (and ahem, a good background for insta stories) take the time to change up those bulletin boards!

2. BOOM Cards!

Oh my gosh. How would we do virtual learning without Boom Cards! These are a lifesaver! So easy, fun for the kids, and simple to make too! I’ll link my Boom Card bundle here but there also lots of fun FREE Boom Cards on the website that could get you started.

3. Becca's Matching Game

You can literally NEVER go wrong with one of Becca’s matching games and these two in particular are ADORABLE and perfect for if you have kids in person in a hybrid or all-in model. Check it out here and here!

4. Winter Village Winter Game

This precious Google Slide resource is super easy to link to your online courses but is also just so gorgeous on your SmartBoard! I think you’ll love the way this looks in your room as much as your kids love playing it! Click here to check it out and if you want to see all my winter resources, check out my winter resources bundle to get them all at once!

5. Color-by-Note Freebie

I struggle so much sometimes with getting a good old fashioned paper and pencil activity! With that in mind, I made this resource that will literally work for any grade, can be linked in our courses or used in person, and because I love ya - it’s free! Click over the freebie page to download your copy!

Happy Winter sweet friends. Keep your chin up. We’re going to make it.
